ByteDance Seed: Seedream 5.0 Flash is an image generation and editing model from the Seedream 5.0 series. It accepts text and image inputs, including up to 10 multi-reference images for composition, and produces image outputs. The model is built for speed and cost efficiency, making it suitable for latency- and cost-sensitive workloads. It supports precise interactive editing: users can circle, scribble, box, or point-and-drag to mark regions, and only those marked areas are modified while edits merge naturally back into the original scene. The model renders native multilingual text directly in images and can decompose finished images into up to 16 separately editable layers, including subject, background, text, and decorative elements. Each layer is returned as a PNG with transparency, along with position, stacking order, and a content description. Output resolution ranges from 1K to 2K; inputs above 2K return 2K, or auto mode matches the input resolution. Seedream 5.0 Flash is suited to tasks that demand speed and volume, such as advertising banner creation with multiple versions, e-commerce product catalogs with high-volume product images and variants, virtual try-on with precise edits to clothing or accessories, editorial and print publishing with rapid design iteration, app and UI mockup design, rapid iteration on game art, high-volume variant generation, and fast drafts or visual exploration before finalizing.
